Meet my horses...

Ginger ~ My Beauty

Ginger joined our family in 2009.
She was born on February 18, 1997 in Chillicothe, Missouri.

Ginger is an American Quarter Horse.

She absolutely ADORES kids! She also enjoys having a job to do. Wandering around eating grass, taking naps & being beautiful just isn't enough for her. She looks forward to giving rides & being pampered.

To win the key to Ginger's heart, you better get a brush. She'll follow you anywhere if you have a brush in hand ~ ready to groom her until her beautiful copper coat shines like a brand new penny.

Rhett ~ My Handsome Boy

Rhett became a part of our family in January 2015 after losing our beloved Clyde.

Horses are herd animals & need a buddy to help them feel secure and at ease. They are also prey animals, so they generally take turns sleeping. One of them is usually standing guard, watching for anything that might try to come along and eat them.

Rhett is still getting used to his new home & learning what is expected of him, but he is a quick learner & I'm very proud of the progress he has already made.

Ginger made sure that Rhett knew that she was the boss when he first showed up. But it didn't take long for them to decide to be friends. They are very close now & enjoy one another's company.

Rhett's favorite things are a handful of apple slices  & a good scratch on his rump.

Rhett is a very handsome guy. He's 8-years-old. He has gorgeous eyes & a long mane & tail - perfect for trying new braiding & banding techniques. He's 3/4 Thoroughbred, 1/4 Belgian. Standing at about 16 HH.
