Refuge Ranch

The girls will have a blast hanging out, helping out & riding at the Refuge Ranch! Refuge is a non-profit organization located in Rochester, IL that pairs at-risk kids with abuse & neglected horses.

We will be volunteering & riding at Refuge on our field trip day.

Donations to the Ranch are welcome as they will be provide our fun outing completely free of charge.

Midwest Horseshoeing School

Diego & the students at the Midwest Horseshoeing School show the girls some of the hard work that goes into taking care of horses. They get to see first-hand the backbreaking job of a farrier & blacksmith as they trim, shoe & forge their day away.

Thank you to Diego & the students at the school for taking time to show the girls their trade & the importance of taking care of a horse's hooves.

Anne's Barn

Anne Bormida is a gifted horse trainer and shares our camp's passion for providing girls with opportunities to experience what life with horses is like.

Anne & her amazing Morgan Horses - Bob & Blondie - have welcomed our campers out to their beautiful home each summer to share some unforgettable experiences. The girls walk away at the end of the day with a full bucket of confidence & new awareness of the bond that a horse & rider can have.
